Home Pound is a hyperlocal complementary currency that reimagines the social nature and inherent flexibility of money. The initiative serves to spark interactions between women asylum seekers and local female residents in communities across the UK, where gender-related barriers and limited access to the labor market can leave asylum seekers feeling socially isolated.

By prioritizing care and compassion, Home Pound's innovative approach to currency creates a symbiotic relationship that helps reduce social isolation and strengthens the bonds of community for all involved. It represents a powerful example of how reimagining the traditional notion of money can have a profound social impact, making it a source of empowerment and inspiration for individuals and communities alike.
